WHO WE ARE

Iconic Species:

It all comes down to how much time you spend in the Enchanted Isles. We design and tailor all of our Galapagos itineraries so that guests can experience the best of what the Galapagos has to offer regarding wildlife. The driving force behind all of this is our BIG15, a list of the Galapagos’ fifteen most iconic species.

Explore:

We have nearly 7 decades of experience planning and operating Galapagos tours. So believe us when we say we know exactly what it takes to explore the islands in the most comfortable, exciting, and fulfilling way possible. We’ll also teach you everything you need to know to get the most out of your trip to the Galapagos.

Experience:

Metropolitan Touring is a leading, regional Destination Management Company (DMC) operating in the Galapagos, Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia. We are also the only such company to offer wholly-owned products in incomparable destinations, including: the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel, Mashpi Lodge, Casa Gangotena, Yacht La Pinta, Yacht Isabela II and the Santa Cruz II Galapagos Cruise.

Galapagos Activities

  • Activities

An excellent way to explore and discover the beauty of the Galapagos Islands is through the variety of activities approved by the Galapagos National Park. There are plenty of options for the entire family to enjoy, from snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, glass-bottom boat, to panga rides.

  • Snorkeling

The Galapagos Islands are home to hundreds of fascinating species, so you can be sure that you’ll see something exciting and incredible every single day! Snorkeling opportunities are available throughout the archipelago and you’ll be in the company of an expert naturalist guide that is wholly committed to providing you with the best experience available.

  • Kayaking

The Galapagos offer some of the best coastlines for sightseeing and animal watching. Kayaking is a comfortable and fun way of traveling around and enjoying some of the most striking areas in the archipelago. It’s also a good opportunity to work on your coordination and communication skills with a partner.

  • Paddleboarding

Find your center, both physically, and metaphorically as you glide along the clear, pristine waters of the Galapagos and glimpse down through the surface to view all of the marvelous activity beneath you. Frolicking sea lions, stunning schools of fish, and all sorts of rays are just a few of the things that await you on this adventure.

  • Glass-bottom Boat

Whether you just want to stay dry or you just want to experience something truly unique, our glass-bottom boat is the experience for you. Hover along, lean forward, and look down. This is your front-row seat to the visual symphony that lives just beneath the ocean’s surface. The movement of fish, sea lions, sea turtles, rays, sharks, and marine iguanas is a thing of beauty.

  • Hiking

Buzz Aldrin, one of the first astronauts to set foot on the moon, agrees that some Galapagos islands resemble the surface of that same wondrous rock he visited so many years ago. Experiencing some of the most unique and awe-inspiring landscapes and ecosystems on the planet!

  • Coastal Exploration

One of the most curious and fascinating aspects of the Galapagos Islands is the topography. Often times, it is best seen and admired from the water. Your Naturalist Guide will point out all of the remarkable and picturesque features of the archipelago as you enjoy this thrilling panga-ride.
