CHANGES FOR INBOUND TRAVEL TO ECUADOR

The Ecuadorian government has adjusted the rules for entering Ecuador. Travelers entering Ecuador will need to show either:

  1. A vaccination certificate (with all the required doses), dated at least 14 days before the flight, or
  2. A certificate of a negative PCR taken within 72 hours of the flight for travelers over 2 years old. Antigen tests are no longer accepted.

The authorities request all travelers arriving in Ecuador do so with a printed version of the Ministry of Health’s Health Declaration Form. One form needs to be filled per family group. The form can be downloaded from the following link.

Notes for Ecuador entry:

  • Health officials will also check travelers for symptoms related to COVID-19. Suspected cases will be required to have an on-the-spot test. If the result is positive, travelers will need to isolate themselves for 10 days in accommodation of their choice and at their expense. In the event that the test result is negative, the traveler may continue with their trip.
  • Travelers entering the country from Brazil or India have different requirements. Please contact your Destination Expert for more details.
